Celeste Sloman Photographs Vice Presidential Candidate Kamala Harris for the New York Times

When Celeste Sloman photographed New York Times feature "The Women of the 116th Congress" last January, it was clear that this group of politicians were in the process of completely transforming female representation in the U.S. House and Senate. Case in point: Kamala Harris, a senator from California, was selected last week as Democratic candidate Joe Biden's running mate for the 2020 presidential election.

Celeste's beautiful portraits of Kamala from this feature (and the book!) are now prevalent on news sites across the board after the announcement was made.
