Tristan Eaton Paints Portraits of Young Activists for Gap's 'BE THE FUTURE' Campaign
On International Youth Day this past month, Gap launched their BE THE FUTURE, a collective call to action for youth, by youth. The campaign celebrates young activists from across the country who are making waves of change in their community, with focuses on sustainability, climate justice, and activism.
The activists include:
- BE THE UNITER: Jerome Foster II (@jeromefosterii): 18-year-old climate activist, educator, uniter and founder of @OneMillionOfUs
- BE THE LEADER: Alexandria Villaseñor (@alexandriav2005): 15-year-old climate activist, organizer and founder of @EarthUprising
- BE THE VOICE: Mari Copeny (@LittleMissFlint): 13-year-old youth activist and "future president"
- BE THE ACTION: Levi Draheim (@connectwithlevi): 13-year-old climate activist and youngest plaintiff in the landmark climate law suit #youthvgov
Tristan Eaton was tapped to create the portraits of each changemaker, using denim as his canvas. Thus far the images of Jerome and Alexandria have been unveiled — more to come soon.
